MAICA Tips and Tricks

中文 | English

Please notice this is a FAQs and tips guidance page. For full introductions, refer to this page.

All following guidances are based on MAICA official Submod frontend (referred to as Blessland), for reference only in other situations.

This Submod frontend might be a little rough due to various reasons. We welcome your issue.

About "How to use":

  1. Read the README page first.

  2. About basic knowledges about MAS and submods, refer to wiki.monika.love.

  3. We hope you can solve your own problems, they aren't that tough. If you really need online support, use DCC Chat.

About "Why not work":

  1. Blessland does not support system proxy, turn it off. If you are behind a proxy, use VPN, route or iptables instead.

  2. Get yourself an acceptable device and an acceptable environment. Blessland has to run on reliable platform and network.

  3. MAS has its development standard updated for multiple times, but some submods didn't follow. Blessland was developed according to the latest standard, but if another submod following older standard is installed it might break the SSL module. If you have another submod installed and Blessland doesn't work, try performing a clean install.

  4. Blessland was developed to be compat with MAS 0.12.15. You'll have to wait for Blessland to update if MAS releases updates. Blessland is not compatible with older versions of MAS.

  5. Blessland relies on a remote server, so keep it up to date. Blessland will inform you when a newer version is avaliable or when your version is deprecated.

  6. There is a service status and update logs feed on the submods screen, showing the latest updates on MAICA backend (referred to as Illuminator). Note if service is under maintaince.

About performance:

  1. Blessland provides many options, including most params Illuminator supports. Their simple introduction can be found in the tooltip, you can also refer to the API documentations.

  2. Default settings are designed for best performance under most circumstances, and it might be changed by updates. Do not check enable advanced params unless you have to.

  3. It's easy to understand that every option has its pros and cons. Make sure you understand it before you operate it.

  4. As a project powered by LLM, MAICA cannot avoid those LLM shortcomings. Like the session could impact future performance, and model logical performance could decrease over session length. You should purge your session sometimes for better performance.

  5. Some functions of Blessland need manual setting, like the additional informations of MFocus_sfe. Those functions exist for a reason, not everything could be done by the model itself.

  6. Longer your session is, slower will the model respond. You can adjust the session length limit to offset this effect.

  7. Report issues with necessary logs, like submod_log.log. Debugging without logs is like driving without sight.

  8. Finally something you must have acknowledged already: we cannot stop AI speaking nonsense completely. You don't need to feedback if your issue is caused by model stupidity. We'll analyze your session to improve its performance in future DAAs.

All in all, we believe you don't need much professional knowledge to use Blessland and MAICA, but we have to write this document as implementation. We hope you can help yourself out on simple problems, but also feel free to ask if you have to.

This document can be updated in the future. Always refer to the latest version.
